about
Inspired by a Lucien Freud exhibition, RHODES was spiritually drawn to one of his ‘unfinished’ self-portraits and the note next to it that said ‘deliberately left unfinished to reveal the method and artistic ease behind it’.
During the writing and recording process, RHODES wanted to capture the moment, to use parts of the demos, parts of the iPhone recordings and ambient room noises, hoping this will give people an even deeper connection to the songs.
